This post is going to lay out everything I used in my latest tutorial, inspired by Nicki Minaj in Trey Songz's "Bottoms Up" music video. This is COMPLETELY inspired because I couldn't get a direct image of Nicki's makeup because the video was REALLY dark; all I saw was pink and purple...I think. My boyfriend told me that this was his favorite look from me so far; that made me smile. I did something new with taking the photos too. I decided to take them outside in natural lighting. I really liked the results! I may do that from now on :) A lot of followers on Twitter were also giving compliments about my Twitcon. I was going to originally upload this next week, but because of feedback, I decided to upload it today! Nevertheless, here's what I came up with!!!
So a loooong time ago (3 months, actually), I went on vacation with my parents and boyfriend to Myrtle Beach, SC. While being there, I had a chance to go to CCOs...yes TWO!!! I have never been to a CCO in my life. There aren't any in Louisiana; the closest one to me is an hour and 30 minutes away in Gulfport, MS. I plan to go there soon :) If you don't know what a CCO is, it stands for "Cosmetic Company Outlet" and they sell discounted higher-end branded makeup. The only brand that interested me there was MAC, so that's all I bought at both locations. On to the goodies!!!
This look was inspired by the tee I was wearing for that current day. The slogan is kind or ironic because everyone knows "I'm" the one that's crazy, lol. What can I say? I'm a sarcastic ass, he he he. Aren't the colors in this shirt pretty? They kind of reminded me of Lisa Frank (stationery collection sold in Wal-Mart a while back). This look also reminds me of candy, so it could be a candy inspired look as well. Here's what I used!!!
I was supposed to do this look a looooooonnnng time ago, lol. I finally decided to post it today. As you probably have noticed, I have done quite a few neutral looks since a few subscribers have been requesting them. I'll be sure to squeeze in a neutral look occasionally to please everyone. Here's the look!!!
I am sooo glad to be back with bold and bright tutorials, lol. All those back-to-back neutral looks were seriously boring me to tears. Hopefully those of you who prefer neutral looks got your fixes because it's going to be a WHILE before I ever do that many neutral looks in a row. That's simply not my style :)
This look was based off a Ralph Lauren polo I wore for the day. It was fuchsia with a green polo. Here's the look!!!
Do you like my new layout? I LOVE it!!! I still have a lot of editing to do to the various links, but that should get done by the end of next week at the latest. The web design was designed by Christina a few days ago. I highly recommend her services. Her customer service is awesome and prices are very reasonable for my budget as a college student. Check her out if you're interested!!! Anyway, on to the post :)
This is a look requested by zebraJUNKIE from YouTube. Check her out!!! On a side note, we will be hosting a contest together once I reach 1,000 subscribers!!! The 1st place contest prize will include MAC Stereo Rose MSF too, so don't miss out!!!
Anyway, she requested that I do a navy clubbing look with sparkles and baby pink lips. In the photos below, the lips look more baby peach, but in person, it WAS baby pink. Here's what I used!!!
